This year’s MTV Movie & TV Awards have commenced, and golden trophies have been given to the rightful candidates.
The Movie & TV Awards, hosted by Vanessa Hudgens, started with Sophia Di Martino snagging the Breakthrough Performance award for her character in Loki, besting formidable candidates such as Licorice Pizza’s Alana Haim, West Side Story’s Ariana DeBose, Hack’s Einbinder, and Squid Game’s Jung Ho-Yeon.
This year, two new categories have been added to the awards show – Best Song and Here for the Hookup. Meanwhile, new categories count Best Reality Return, Best Music Documentary, Best Reality Romance, and Best Reality Star on the unscripted side.
The Generation Award will be handed to Jennifer Lopez, while the Comedic Genius Award will be given to Jack Black.
