From teaching himself through YouTube to sharing his gifts across the United States.
Meet Justone Du Plessis, a 26-year-old internationally recognised dancer with a purpose to educate and inspire young dancers. Justone grew up in South Africa, a country that is notoriously known for being a very challenging environment, especially for artists, but that didn’t stop the determination inside him. His mantra is: ”If you want it enough, you can have it.”
A true inspiration to the community, Justone learned most of his impressive dance skills on the humble grounds of his front lawn. Mimicking videos from YouTube and practicing tirelessly until one day he would reach his big, scary dream. He had no idea or plan of how he was to achieve this dream, but he believed in it anyway. And like most people with that kind of grit, he is getting one step closer every day.
Justone has been dancing on board the world’s biggest cruise ship corporation, Carnival, for the past 3 years. Sacrificing and saving money to be able to live his dream out in the United States. And he has finally saved up enough to embark on the next phase of his career.
The multi-talented dancer has secured a job offer from a fabulous studio in Los Angeles- AA Studio LA, run by lovely owner Irma. The moment Irma saw his talent she snatched him up and offered him a faculty position at her studio. Irma says that Justone will be an incredible asset to the Los Angeles dance community, inspiring dancers and enriching the community through his cultural roots.
