2022 seems to be beckoning for live music – huge gatherings postponed due to the first pandemic lockdowns, the biggest superstars touring for their 2021 albums, and indie rockers playing gigs releasing new music.
Of course, it remains to be seen how the new variants and ongoing pandemic will affect these touring schedules, but here are some of the artists heading to venues around the world this year.
Tour:
The 1975
Three years after their last tour, 1975 will embark on a highly anticipated journey across North America in support of their album Being Funny in a Foreign Language, which will be released on October 14th.
Adele
Adele previously announced a trip to Las Vegas shortly after the release of her fourth album, 30, but it was postponed in January due to COVID-related safety precautions. But it’s currently back on track. On November 18, she will kick off with her show in Vegas, which runs until March 2023.
Alex G
A fall tour of North America has been announced by Alex G, along with Barry, Hutchie and Sadhan. She is said to play the music of God Save the Animals.
Algernon Cadwallader
Ten years after their disbandment, Algernon Cadwallader will reunite for a tour that begins October 14th in Pittsburgh and ends November 20th in Santa Ana, California.
Alvvays
The Canadian indie pop band will be touring with their upcoming third album, Blue Rev, starting in October.
Bartees Strange
After performing in Europe, Bartees Strange is set to headline a North American leg from November 3 in Pittsburgh to December 19 in Nashville.

Beabadoobee
In July, Beabadoobee dropped her latest album, Beatopia, and announced alongside it that she would be touring in North America.
Beth Orton
In support of her Weather Alive album, Beth Orton will go on a North American tour, beginning on November 1 in Washington, D.C. and ending on November 22 in Vancouver.
Big Thief
This year’s Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You album by the Big Thief brings them on tour. The concerts start on January 31 in Burlington, Vermont and will wrap up on February 7 in Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
Bright Eyes
Bright Eyes will perform at concerts in October and November. And while on tour, they will be reissuing three more albums.
Carly Rae Jepsen
This fall, Carly Rae Jepsen says call me, maybe, as she embarks on a US tour.
Coldplay
After canceling their tour supporting their 2019 album, Everyday Life, Coldplay is back on track in 2022 for a world tour.

Indeed, 2022 will be blessed with music concerts. Perhaps, with four more months remaining this year, more artists will reveal their plan to embark on a road journey.
