Beyoncé has finally returned to the spotlight after what felt like an eternity of absence.

Queen B has revealed her new album, Renaissance. It’s set to be released on July 29th, per a product listing on her website. The record appeared to be labeled “Act I.”

Streaming services quickly tweeted about Beyoncé’s latest update, including a title and date in all her social media bios.

The album is said to span 16 songs, says a tireless fan account Beyoncé Legion, with no specific details revealed – this matches Beyoncé’s trademark style of keeping things hidden until the last minute and hints at new music coming soon.

After the announcement, British Vogue’s Edward Enninful said he heard the album in person: “Instantly, a wall of sounds hits me,” he said.

“Soaring vocals and fierce beats combine, and in a split second, I’m transported back to the clubs of my youth. I want to get up and start throwing moves. It’s music I love to my core. Music that makes you rise, that turns your mind to cultures and subcultures, to our people past and present, music that will unite so many on the dance floor, music that touches your soul. As ever with Beyoncé, it is all about the intent. I sit back, after the wave, absorbing it all.”

The Renaissance box set will include a CD, T-shirt and collectible case. The product image has not yet been revealed, but we can expect it to update once the campaign artwork becomes available. In addition, there’s an informative booklet with 28 pages as well as a mini-poster included.

On Wednesday, following Beyoncé’s profile picture change – it went black, fans quickly pointed out that a graphic post on Twitter from her nonprofit, Beygood, cryptically indicated upcoming music.

Merely one square displayed unexplained music in a montage of album covers: a red hand with gloves, pointing to the album cover to the left – Brandy’s B7. So now we know that B7, Beyoncé’s seventh album, is Renaissance.
