Selena Gomez Speaks Out Against Online Harassment Towards Hailey Bieber

In the world of entertainment, celebrity feuds are common occurrences that often make headlines. From Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian to Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, the media loves to report on any type of drama or conflict between famous people.

Unfortunately, this often leads to fans taking sides and engaging in online harassment and bullying towards the targeted celebrities. Recently, Selena Gomez has spoken out against the hate directed towards Hailey Bieber, and she’s calling for it to end once and for all.

For years, rumors have circulated about a feud between Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber.

In a statement posted on her Instagram story, Selena Gomez revealed that Hailey Bieber had reached out to her to let her know that the latter had been receiving death threats and hateful messages from fans.

Gomez expressed her dismay at this behavior and emphasized that she has always been an advocate for kindness and positivity.

“Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity,” Gomez wrote in a post to her Instagram story. “This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying.”

“I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop,” she concluded.

Gomez’s statement is a powerful reminder that celebrities are people too, and they deserve to be treated with respect and kindness. It’s easy for fans to get caught up in the drama and forget that their words and actions have real-world consequences. In recent years, the issue of online harassment has become a growing concern, and it’s important that we all do our part to combat it.

Selena vs. Hailey

The alleged conflict between the two stemmed from their relationships with Justin Bieber.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez had a highly publicized on-again, off-again relationship in the early 2010s. Despite breaking up multiple times, the two continued to make headlines together for years.

In 2014, Bieber was spotted with Hailey Bieber, and rumors of a romance began swirling. Over the next few years, Bieber seemed to go back and forth between the two, eventually breaking things off for good with Gomez and marrying Hailey in 2018.

This messy love triangle has led to speculation and drama between Gomez and Hailey Bieber. However, Hailey has been quick to deny any rumors of animosity between the two. In a September interview, she insisted that there had never been any overlap between her relationship with Justin and his previous relationship with Selena.

“When him and I ever started, like, hooking up or, like, anything of that sort, he was not ever in a relationship ever, at any point,” she said on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast. “It’s not my character to mess with someone’s relationship.”

Hailey also emphasized that there is “no drama” between her and Gomez, and that they have a relationship based on “respect” and “love.”

The ongoing drama between Gomez, Hailey, and Justin has been making headlines for years, with fans speculating about everything from secret hookups to social media shade. But things recently took a turn for the worse when Bieber and his friend Kylie Jenner were accused of mocking Gomez on social media.

Bullying is Never Okay

It all started when Gomez shared a video on TikTok in which she accidentally messed up her eyebrow makeup. Shortly after, Jenner posted some photos showing off her own eyebrows, as well as Bieber’s, in what many interpreted to be a dig at Gomez. Fans quickly took notice and called out Jenner and Bieber for their behavior.

Jenner responded to the backlash, saying that people were “reaching” by accusing her of making fun of Gomez. But the damage had already been done, and the incident only fueled speculation about the ongoing conflict between the three stars.

Gomez herself weighed in on the situation, commenting on Jenner’s post to say that she was a fan of the reality star. But she also used the opportunity to call for kindness and consideration towards others’ mental health.

In the comments of her TikTok video, Gomez wrote: “Please, please be kinder and consider others’ mental health. My heart has been heavy and I only want good for everyone.”

Fans Support Gomez

Many fans have taken to social media to express their support for Gomez and condemn the behavior of Bieber and Jenner. Some have even gone as far as to call for a boycott of their products and brands.

One fan tweeted, “It’s not okay to bully anyone, especially someone who has been open about their struggles with mental health. Hailey Bieber and Kylie Jenner should be ashamed of themselves.” Another wrote, “I used to be a fan of Kendall Jenner, but after seeing how she treats Selena, I can’t support her anymore.”

The incident has also reignited the debate over the impact that social media has on mental health, with many fans expressing concern for Gomez’s well-being. Some have even called for more awareness and education around cyberbullying and its effects.

But while the majority of fans have been quick to support Gomez, there are also those who are defending Bieber and Jenner. Some argue that the situation has been blown out of proportion, while others believe that Gomez is equally responsible for the ongoing conflict.

Regardless of where you stand on the issue, it’s clear that the feud has struck a nerve with fans. It serves as an indication of the power that social media can have, both to connect people and to cause harm. Let’s hope that all involved can find a way to move past this incident and work towards a more positive and respectful discourse in the future.

From Stand-Up to Stardom: Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong’s Unforgettable Journey to Comedy Icon Status

In the world of comedy, Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong have been an irreplaceable pair for more than four decades. They have become icons of stoner culture thanks to their distinctive combination of humor, irreverence, and unabashed celebration of cannabis.

Fans have been eager for her return to the big screen since they last worked together in 2013, and that wish has finally come true.

The Untitled Cheech & Chong Project will be a biopic exploring the origins of the comedy duo, how they met and how they became pioneers of stoner culture. The film promises fans a trip down memory lane and newcomers a chance to discover the legendary duo’s roots.

In the late 1960s, Cheech and Chong originally met in Vancouver, Canada. While Chong was a musician and improv comedian, Cheech was a blossoming actor and comedian. They started performing together at nearby comedy clubs because of their apparent chemistry.

Their style was irreverent, politically incorrect, and an uncompromising cannabis advocate. The duo quickly gained her following and launched her North American tour.

Their big break came in 1971 when they were invited to the Troubadour Club in Los Angeles. Her performance caught the attention of her music producer and owner of her Ode Records, Lou Adler.

Cheech and Chong, the duo’s debut comedy album, was made possible by Adler’s signing of them in 1971. As a result of the album’s immediate success, they were nominated for a Grammy for Best Comedy Recording.

Cheech & Chong

Cheech and Chong went on to release several successful comedy albums before making their big-screen debut in 1978 with Up in Smoke. The film was a hit and grossed over $44 million at the box office. It became a cultural touchstone for a generation of stoners and helped establish Cheech and Chong as counterculture icons.

Their subsequent films, including Cheech and Chong’s Next Movie, Nice Dreams, and Still Smokin, further cemented their place in the pantheon of stoner culture. Their music albums, including Los Cochinos and Big Bambu, were also hugely popular, and their comedy routines became classics.

However, despite their success, the duo’s partnership was not without its challenges. In 1985, they released the album Get Out of My Room, which marked a departure from their stoner humor and featured more mainstream pop songs. The album was a commercial disappointment, and the duo went their separate ways.

Over the years, Cheech and Chong have reunited sporadically, but their joint projects have been few and far between. The upcoming biopic promises to be a celebration of their enduring legacy and a testament to their enduring friendship.

It will be a chance for fans to relive the glory days of stoner culture and for newcomers to discover the origins of a comedy duo that changed the face of comedy forever.

Prospect Excites Them

In their joint statement, Cheech and Chong expressed their excitement at the prospect of working together again and promised to deliver a film that will showcase their unique brand of humor and the lasting impact they have had on popular culture.

With a release date yet to be announced, fans will have to wait patiently for the “Untitled Cheech & Chong Project” to hit the screens. However, given the enduring popularity of the duo and their lasting influence on comedy and stoner culture, it is sure to be a film that is well worth the wait.

Cheech & Chong are back, and this time, they’re making a movie that promises to be a true celebration of their legacy. The legendary stoner duo, made up of Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong, has announced that they will be reuniting on screen for the first time in almost a decade, with an untitled biopic exploring their origins and impact on comedy and stoner culture.

It’s been a long time since the world has seen the comedic genius of Cheech & Chong on the big screen. In fact, the last time the duo worked together was in 2013, when they released their animated movie. But now, with cannabis legalization sweeping the nation, the timing couldn’t be more perfect for them to make a comeback.

Cheech & Chong’s brand of humor was heavily influenced by their love for cannabis, and they quickly became icons of stoner culture in the ’70s. They released their first feature film, Up in Smoke, in 1978, which was followed by several successful releases.

The duo went their separate ways after releasing their album Get Out of My Room in 1985, but they have reunited on occasion over the years.

Forthcoming Biopic

The upcoming biopic promises to delve into the origins of the duo and their influence on popular culture. It will be produced by Todd Lieberman and Alex Young of Hidden Pictures, alongside Underground’s Trevor Engelson and Douglas Banker of Five All in the Fifth Entertainment.

Engelson has expressed his excitement about the project, saying that working with Cheech & Chong is a childhood dream come true.

The untitled biopic will be a chance for fans to relive the glory days of stoner culture and for new generations to discover the duo’s unique brand of humor. It will also be an opportunity to reflect on how far the cannabis industry has come since the ’70s when Cheech & Chong first burst onto the scene.

In 2003, Tommy Chong was arrested for selling drug paraphernalia and spent almost a year in jail. At that time, marijuana was still illegal in much of the United States. Now, cannabis has been legalized for medicinal and/or recreational use in over half of the states, and Cheech & Chong are taking a victory lap.

It’s unclear when the untitled Cheech & Chong biopic will be released, but fans are eagerly anticipating its arrival. The film promises to be a nostalgic trip down memory lane and a celebration of the enduring legacy of one of the most iconic comedy duos of all time.

Cheech & Chong’s unique brand of humor and their contribution to stoner culture continue to influence and inspire new generations of comedians and cannabis enthusiasts alike.

Staying Connected: How Technology Can Bring the Culkin Family Together

The Culkin family has been in the spotlight for decades and its members have achieved success in various entertainment industries. From Macaulay Culkin’s iconic roles in Home Alone and My Girl to Kieran Culkin’s recent success in the hit TV show Succession, the Culkins have made a name for themselves in Hollywood.

However, despite their success, the Culkin brothers have yet to meet each other’s latest family members.Kieran Culkin recently revealed in an interview with Access Hollywood that his brother Macaulay and partner Brenda Song are second. revealed that they welcomed their child, but their busy schedules have yet to meet their cousins.

Families are frequently split up by distance, particularly in the entertainment sector where jobs can take you all over the globe. It’s surprising to learn that they haven’t found the time to make it work, given how close-knit the Culkin family is.

It makes sense that Kieran and Macaulay have busy schedules because they both have young children of their own. Yet it seems like a Culkin family get-together is in order. Although the cousins may reside on different coasts, there is no reason why they cannot communicate thanks to tools like FaceTime and Zoom.

Family is important. The Culkin family is very close, so it’s important to make time to get together and celebrate your new family. Whether it’s a quick trip to Los Angeles or a family reunion in New York, there’s a way to make it work.

The Culkin family is expanding, which is heartening, and it’s fascinating to consider what the future holds for these accomplished siblings and their offspring. They should be able to get together soon to make some new family memories, hopefully.

Long Distance

It’s a common problem for parents with young children – the idea of traveling long distances can often seem daunting, if not impossible. And for Kieran Culkin and his wife, Jazz Charton, the same holds true. With two young children under the age of 4, the idea of traveling from New York to Los Angeles to visit family seems like an insurmountable task.

But the problem is made even more complicated when considering that Kieran’s older brother, Macaulay Culkin, and his partner, Brenda Song, have also recently welcomed a new addition to their family. Dakota Song Culkin, born in 2021, is now a little over a year old and would be the perfect playmate for Kieran’s own son, Wilder Wolf, who is also 19 months old.

However, Kieran has admitted in a recent interview that it’s unlikely the cousins will meet anytime soon. “Our son is about a year-and-a-half, so we’re not getting him on a plane anytime soon,” he stated. “It’s just a nightmare.”

It’s a common refrain among parents – traveling with young children can be an incredibly difficult and stressful experience. From navigating security checkpoints to dealing with unexpected delays, it’s not hard to see why many parents opt to stay home rather than take on the challenge of traveling with their little ones.

But there are ways to make the process a little easier. Planning ahead and packing wisely can help alleviate some of the stress of traveling with children. Bringing along snacks, toys, and other distractions can also help keep little ones occupied during long flights or car rides.

When Will There be an Introduction

And while it may not be possible to introduce the cousins to one another anytime soon, there are still plenty of ways to stay connected with family from afar. Video calls, care packages, and even good old-fashioned letters can all help keep families close, even when they’re separated by distance.

For many people, the idea of spending time at home with their family may seem boring or uneventful. But for Kieran Culkin, it’s exactly where he wants to be.

In a recent interview, the Succession star revealed that, given the chance, he prefers to spend his time at home with his wife and two young children.

“I live in a very small little world,” he said. “I’m at work and if I’m not, I’m at home with my wife and kids. I don’t really do anything.”

It’s a sentiment that will no doubt resonate with many parents. With the demands of work, school, and extracurricular activities, it can be all too easy to feel like there simply aren’t enough hours in the day. But for Kieran, the simple pleasures of spending time at home with his loved ones are more than enough.

Culkin Brothers

Of course, Kieran is no stranger to the world of show business. He and his older brother, Macaulay Culkin, both began acting at a young age, with roles in films such as Home Alone and Home Alone 2. But while Kieran’s career has continued to thrive as an adult, he’s made it clear that his family is his top priority.

And with two young children under the age of 4, it’s not hard to see why. Watching them grow and learn is a full-time job in itself, and Kieran has made it clear that he’s more than happy to be there for every moment of it.

Of course, that’s not to say that Kieran doesn’t enjoy his work. As a star of the hit HBO drama Succession, he’s earned critical acclaim and a devoted fan base. And in a recent interview, he teased what fans can expect from the show’s highly anticipated fourth season.

But at the end of the day, Kieran’s heart is with his family. Whether celebrating holidays like St. Patrick’s Day with his daughter or just enjoying a quiet night at home, he’s content to be exactly where he is. And for many of us, that’s a reminder that sometimes the simplest things in life are also the most meaningful.

Celebrity Spotlight: Brendan Fraser’s humble approach to fame and success

In an industry known for its glitz and glamour, it’s refreshing to see a celebrity stay down to earth. Acclaimed actor and star of the hit films ‘The Mummy’ and ‘George of the Jungle’, Brendan Fraser is a perfect example of someone who has managed to remain humble and approachable despite his success.

Fraser’s Academy Award win for Best Actor for Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale further cemented his reputation as a talented actor and all-around nice guy. The night after the ceremony, he was spotted at West Hollywood’s Whiskey a Go Go, signing the club’s billboard and greeting fans who celebrated his victory.

It’s uncommon to see an Oscar winner hanging out at a neighborhood pub, but Fraser’s visit to the Whisky a Go Go is only one illustration of how he keeps his roots close to heart. Even if it means taking some jabs about his penmanship from passersby, he’s not afraid to let loose and have a good time.

Fraser’s love of music is well known, so it’s no surprise he wants to spend the night at a venue like Whiskey a Go Go. He was known to go to concerts and festivals, and even played in bands himself in the 90s.

Perhaps even more impressive than his love of music is his commitment to his family. He was at Whiskey a Go Go with his son Leland. It’s clear that Fraser is not only a talented actor, but a devoted father who wants to share his passion with his children.

Enjoy the Night

It’s rare to find a celebrity who is as down-to-earth as Brendan Fraser. In an industry where egos can run wild and fame can quickly go to one’s head, Fraser remains humble and approachable. His appearance at the Whisky a Go Go is a reminder that even Oscar winners can enjoy a night out on the town and be just like the rest of us.

As for his handwriting? Well, maybe it’s not the best, but who cares? Brendan Fraser is still one of the coolest guys in Hollywood.

But in recent years, he has made a triumphant comeback, culminating in his recent win at the Academy Awards for Best Actor.

Fraser’s performance in Darren Aronofsky’s “The Whale” was widely praised by critics, and his Oscar win was seen as a fitting reward for his years of hard work and dedication to his craft. But what really set Fraser apart on the night of the awards was how he celebrated his win.

Instead of attending a glamorous after-party or rubbing shoulders with other A-listers, Fraser chose to spend the night at the Whisky a Go Go in West Hollywood. He was spotted signing the club’s wall and jamming with the band Fast Times, along with his son Leland and guitarist DJ Ashba.

The moment was a reminder of just how far Fraser has come, and how much he has overcome to get to this point. His journey has been a long and winding one, marked by highs and lows, but through it all, he has remained committed to his craft and to his fans.

Brendan Fraser

Fraser’s resurgence in recent years has been nothing short of remarkable. He has taken on a range of challenging roles, showcasing his versatility as an actor and proving that he is more than just a Hollywood heartthrob.

From his turn as a robot in “Doom Patrol” to his portrayal of a man struggling with his weight in “The Whale,” Fraser has shown that he is capable of taking on complex and nuanced characters.

It’s no surprise that fans are already clamoring for a sequel to “Encino Man,” one of Fraser’s most beloved films from the early days of his career. And with his recent Oscar win, it’s clear that there is still plenty of life left in the actor and his career.

For Fraser, the night at the Whisky a Go Go was a chance to celebrate his win in a way that was true to himself. He’s never been one to follow the Hollywood playbook, and his refusal to play by the rules has only made him more beloved by fans.

As he continues his Hollywood comeback, Fraser is sure to be one of the most talked-about actors in the industry. But one thing is for certain: he’ll always be Brendan Fraser, the down-to-earth actor who knows how to have a good time.

Brendan Fraser is a name that many moviegoers will recognize from some of the biggest films of the 90s and early 2000s, such as “The Mummy,” “George of the Jungle,” and “Bedazzled.” But despite his early success, Fraser has faced some significant challenges in his career, including a period of relative obscurity and a series of serious injuries that threatened to derail his career.

Born in Indianapolis in 1968, Fraser grew up in Canada and the United States before studying at the Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. He made his film debut in 1991 with a small role in “Dogfight,” but it was his breakout performance in the 1992 film “Encino Man” that really put him on the map.

Regaining Footing

Fraser quickly became known for his good looks and affable personality, and he seemed poised for a long and successful career in Hollywood. But despite some early hits, including “The Mummy” and “Bedazzled,” his career hit a rough patch in the mid-2000s.

The actor found himself struggling to find work and to regain his footing in an industry that had largely moved on. But despite these setbacks, Fraser refused to give up on his dream.

In 2010, he landed a role in the hit film “Extraordinary Measures,” and he began to slowly rebuild his career from there. He took on a range of challenging roles in independent films, and he also worked on the television series “Texas Rising” and “Doom Patrol.”

But even as he was making progress in his career, Fraser faced another major setback. In 2013, he suffered a serious injury while performing a stunt on the set of “The Legend of William Tell.”

Budget dispute leads to cancellation of Nancy Meyers’ star-studded rom-com at Netflix

Netflix and Nancy Meyers, two major entertainment entities, have decided to separate. The romantic comedy film, which had been highly anticipated and would have been Meyers’ first feature-length project in almost a decade, will no longer be proceeding at the streaming service.

The news came as a surprise to many fans who were eager for the release of the star-studded film.

The decision to cancel the film was reportedly due to budget discrepancies. Meyers asked for at least $150 million, which Netflix was unwilling to meet.

Even with a reduced budget of $130 million, the romantic comedy would have been among the most costly films ever produced. The Hollywood Reporter claims that the project was canceled as a result of failed negotiations between the two parties.

The news has left many people wondering what happened, especially given the talent associated with the film: Scarlett Johansson, Owen Wilson, Penelope Cruz, Michael Fassbender and others. Reports surfaced that he was in talks to star in a romantic comedy.

Fans of Meyer’s previous films like The Parent Trap, Something’s Gotta Give, and It’s Complicated were thrilled to see the acclaimed director return to the genre that made her famous.

Meyers leaving Netflix is a big setback for the streaming site, which has been actively recruiting well-known producers and directors lately. To entice new members and keep current ones entertained, the firm has been substantially investing on original material, including feature films.

Film Now Canceled

Netflix has had success with romantic comedies in the past, most notably with the hit film “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before,” which has spawned a successful franchise.

The cancellation of Meyers’ film underscores the challenges that Netflix and other streaming services face when it comes to producing blockbuster films. The high production cost and the need to appeal to a global audience can be daunting, even for established filmmakers.

The streaming giant has had its fair share of successes and failures in the film world, and this latest setback is a reminder that even the biggest players in the industry can’t always get what they want.

Despite the disappointment of the cancellation, fans of Meyers’ work can take heart in the fact that she is a talented and prolific filmmaker who is sure to create more great movies in the future. Her departure from Netflix may be a setback, but it’s unlikely to dampen her creative spirit or her ability to tell stories that resonate with audiences around the world.

News that her upcoming movie will no longer be moving forward with Netflix has left many fans disappointed.

Originally announced last April, the semi-autobiographical film was set to be Meyers’ first feature-length directing project in almost a decade. It was reported to be about two filmmakers who fall in and out of love while working together, and then cross paths again in Hollywood. Meyers was supposed to write, direct, and produce the project, which was known as Paris Paramount.

The star-studded cast that was in talks to be a part of the project, including Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz, Owen Wilson, and Michael Fassbender, added to the anticipation surrounding the film.

Cannot Come to an Agreement

However, reports suggest that Netflix and Meyers could not come to an agreement on the budget, with Meyers asking for at least $150 million and Netflix drawing the line at $130 million.

The disagreement over budget has ultimately led to the project’s implosion and the end of the collaboration between Meyers and Netflix. Despite this setback, Meyers’ fans can still look forward to her previous work, including The Holiday, The Parent Trap, Something’s Gotta Give, and The Intern.

While fans are left to wonder what could have been with Meyers’ latest project, the news is a reminder of the importance of finding common ground in collaborations between filmmakers and studios. It is likely that Meyers will continue to make films that capture the heart and imagination of audiences, and her fans eagerly await her next endeavor.

Nancy Meyers is a highly acclaimed director, producer, and screenwriter, known for her successful romantic comedy films that often feature strong female leads. Her films have been praised for their humor, warmth, and relatability, and have garnered numerous awards and nominations.

Meyers was born on December 8, 1949, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and began her career as a writer and producer for television shows such as The Partridge Family and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. She later moved on to film, writing the screenplay for the 1980 comedy film Private Benjamin, which earned her an Academy Award nomination.

Nancy Meyers

In the 1990s, Meyers made her directorial debut with the romantic comedy film The Parent Trap, which starred a young Lindsay Lohan in a dual role as twins. The film was a commercial success and launched Meyers’ career as a director.

She went on to direct and write the screenplays for several other romantic comedies, including Something’s Gotta Give, The Holiday, and It’s Complicated, which starred Meryl Streep, Jack Nicholson, Cameron Diaz, and Kate Winslet, among others.

Meyers’ films often explore themes of family, love, and aging, and are known for their strong female characters. In Something’s Gotta Give, for example, Diane Keaton plays a successful playwright who falls in love with a much younger man, played by Jack Nicholson. The film was praised for its honest portrayal of a woman’s struggle with aging and societal expectations.

In addition to her work in film, Meyers has also participated in several philanthropic efforts, including supporting the Women’s Cancer Research Fund and serving as a member of the board of directors for the Environmental Media Association.

Despite her many successes, Meyers has also faced criticism for her focus on white, affluent characters in her films. In response to this criticism, Meyers has stated that she writes about what she knows, but has also acknowledged the importance of diversity and inclusion in filmmaking.

Angela Bassett on the Challenges of Fully Immersing in a Character

After starring in Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming Elvis biopic, Angela Bassett, a well-known actress and recent Oscar nominee, can empathize with Austin Butler’s difficulties in losing his Elvis Presley accent.

As Bassett revealed to The New Yorker, she faced similar struggles after playing Tina Turner in the 1993 biopic.

Bassett, who was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, acknowledged the challenges of character immersion and the lasting effects it can have on an actor’s performance.

Empathizing with Butler’s current situation, she spoke words of encouragement and reminded him that with time and practice, the accent will eventually wear off.

“Tina’s laugh and the way she spoke took over. It took over, not as long as Elvis — maybe about four months after,” she stated. “You so lived and breathed and began to see life through their perspective. You had to. They’re a part of you. I think that’s what’s going on with him.”

In the Elvis biopic, Butler plays the King of Rock and Roll and Tom Hanks plays his manager, Colonel Tom Parker. The Luhrmann-directed film is set to hit theaters in 2022 and has been highly anticipated by Butler and Presley fans.

What’s Love Got to Do With It, in which Bassett played Tina Turner, brought her critical acclaim and made her a well-known actress in Hollywood. Her involvement in the role provides a special perspective on the difficulties associated with fully embodying a character and separating oneself from that character after filming is finished.

Different After This Time

“You have to bid it farewell, and it’s hard to let it go, because you’ve enjoyed it, you survived it, you delivered, and you’re proud of that,” she added.

“You got an opportunity and you hit it out of left field. So it takes a moment to get back to regular you. But you’re different after this moment. Now you’re Austin, who did that great performance.”

Butler continues to try to get rid of his Elvis accent, but it’s comforting to know he’s not alone in his struggles. With the support of fellow actors like Bassett, he’s looking forward to his future roles and the opportunity to fully immerse himself in new characters and storylines.

Actor Gerard Butler, originally from Anaheim, Calif., has been fully immersed in the persona of Elvis Presley since starring in the 2021 biopic “Elvis.” The film was released last June and since then, Butler has retained Presley’s deep drawl while hosting Saturday Night Live in December and during his Best Actor acceptance speech at the Golden Globes in January. However, Butler recently revealed that he is trying to return to his normal tone after dedicating three years of his life to becoming the “Jailhouse Rock” singer.

During a latest appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Butler explained that he’s actively working to shed the accent he adopted for the role.

“I am getting rid of the accent, but I have probably damaged my vocal cords with all that singing,” he said. “One song took 40 takes.”

It’s clear that Butler’s dedication to the role of Elvis Presley was intense, and he underwent extensive training to ensure that he was able to fully embody the King of Rock and Roll.

A Process So Grueling

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly in June, Butler detailed the grueling process of rehearsing with dialect coaches to achieve the perfect Presley voice for the film.

“It was a lot of work, but it was fun,” he said. “I spent a lot of time with dialect coaches, singing coaches, guitar coaches, piano coaches, movement coaches. We went through every facet of Elvis’ life.”

Butler’s commitment to the role is admirable, and his efforts paid off in a powerful and emotional performance that accurately captured the essence of the beloved singer.

Despite the challenges of adopting the Presley accent, it’s clear that Butler’s dedication to his craft is unwavering. As he continues to work on his vocal cords and adjust to his normal tone, fans of the actor eagerly anticipate what he’ll tackle next.

“I would take an interview or a speech that he had on stage where he is talking to the audience, and I would practice it as though I was trying to get it to be exact,” he stated.

“That way, I couldn’t hear a difference between my voice and his. Then I would have my dialect coach there going, ‘This is off a little bit,’ and I’d practice. I’d just keep honing it in until I could get as specific as possible.”

Whether he’s portraying a legendary musician or taking on a completely new challenge, Butler’s passion and commitment to his craft are sure to shine through in his future performances.

Chris Rock has never been one to shy away from controversy, and his newest Netflix special, Chris Rock: Selective Outrage, is no different.

In fact, Rock didn’t waste any time addressing the topic at hand: the now-famous Oscars slap that happened during the 2022 awards show.

For those who don’t remember, Will Smith smacked Chris Rock in the face on live television during the ceremony after Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s appearance. Since then, everyone has commented on the incident, from Tiffany Haddish to Jimmy Kimmel, but Rock has largely kept quiet—until now.

In the Netflix special, Rock makes a few passing references to the incident while making fun of the fact that he has to be careful not to offend anyone. He then adds, “You know anybody that says words hurt has never been punched in the face.” It’s a classic Rock one-liner, but it also serves as a nod to the fact that he’s fully aware of the fallout from the incident.

But Rock doesn’t begin to describe what happened on that Oscars stage until the very end of his performance. He performs it in the only way that he is capable of, as is to be expected.

He tells the audience that he was waiting to take the stage backstage at the Oscars when he saw Will and Jada Pinkett Smith approaching. He says he greeted them both warmly and then added, “Oh, Jada, you look beautiful tonight.” It was a harmless comment, but it was enough to set Will off.

Recounting the Incident

According to Rock, Will started yelling at him, saying, “What’d you say about my wife?” Rock says he was taken aback by the outburst and told Will that he didn’t say anything bad about Jada. But Will wasn’t satisfied, and he ended up slapping Rock across the face.

Rock says that at that moment, he realized he had a decision to make: he could either punch Will back and risk starting a full-blown fight, or he could let it go and take the high road. In the end, he chose the latter option, and he says he’s glad he did. “I didn’t want to ruin his suit,” Rock jokes.

Of course, it’s worth noting that this is all just Rock’s version of events. Will Smith has yet to publicly comment on the incident beyond his initial apology to Rock, so it’s unclear what his side of the story might be.

Regardless, it’s clear that the incident has left a lasting impression on Rock. He’s always been known for pushing boundaries with his comedy, but it seems that this experience has given him pause. As he says during the special, “I gotta watch what I say. You never know what’s going to set somebody off.”

Difference Between Rock and Smith

He then proceeds to compare himself to Smith, saying that he is not the same as the Hollywood heavyweight, who is in movies with his shirt off and played Muhammad Ali, while Rock played Pookie in New Jack City.

“He’s in movies with his shirt off. If I’m in a movie getting open heart surgery, I got on a sweater. He trained and played Muhammad Ali, I played Pookie in New Jack City, we are not the same!” He continued, “Even in animated movies I’m a zebra, he’s a f—ing shark.”

Towards the end of his set, Rock finally gave his recounting of what went down on that Oscars stage. He likened Smith to Suge Knight, the former rap mogul who in 2018 was convicted of murder, calling him “Suge Smith.” Rock stated that Smith hit him so hard that he heard “Summertime” ringing in his ears, a reference to Smith’s hit song with DJ Jazzy Jeff.

Rock then went on to reference the rumors of Jada Pinkett Smith cheating on her husband with a friend of their son, and how she hurt Smith more than he hurt Rock. He also talked about how Jada had suggested that he quit his job because Will wasn’t nominated for Concussion, to which he responded with jokes about her, saying that she started it.

Didn’t Fight Back

Throughout the special, Rock stressed that he had no beef with Smith and that he loves him. Furthermore he made a point to say that he didn’t fight back because he was raised not to start a ramble in front of white people.

“I love Will Smith, my whole life,” Rock added. “I have rooted for Will Smith my whole life, I rooted for this motherf—–. And now I watch Emancipation just to see him get whooped.”

“A lot of people go ‘Chris, how come you didn’t do nothing back, how come you didn’t do nothing back that night?'”, he stated ending the set, “Cause I got parents, that’s why. Cause I was raised. I got parents and you know what my parents taught me? Don’t fight in front of white people!”

The Will Smith Oscars slap incident has been talked about extensively in the media, with many people weighing in on the incident. However, this is the first time that Chris Rock has addressed it on television. The incident took place during the 2022 Oscars, when Smith slapped Rock across the face following his joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s appearance.

Lady Gaga Faces Legal Battle Over Reward Money for Stolen French Bulldogs

The money Lady Gaga offered as a reward for the safe return of her two stolen French bulldogs in February 2021 is the subject of a legal dispute.

Jennifer McBride, the woman who returned the dog, is suing the pop star for not paying her promised $500,000 reward, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

McBride was one of five people detained in connection with the dognapping that took place in Los Angeles and seriously injured Ray Fischer, Gaga’s dog walker.

After the incident, Gaga offered a reward for Koji and Gustav’s safe return “without question.” McBride returned the dog to police two days after the incident, and was subsequently cleared of any involvement in the attack.

However, in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, McBride’s attorneys alleged that Gaga committed breach of contract, false promise fraud, and misrepresentation fraud by failing to pay her compensation.

According to the lawsuit, McBride was reluctant to come forward because she was concerned about being implicated in the crime and didn’t realize she was eligible for the reward until the police department informed her of it.

The complaint also alleges that Gaga’s “no questions asked” offer was misleading because McBride had to provide information and evidence to police in order to claim compensation. , claims that Gaga’s representative told McBride’s attorney that the reward money would be donated to charity, but that no proof of such a donation was provided.

A representative for Gaga has yet to comment on the lawsuit. The singer has previously spoken out about the incident, saying she thanked Fisher for his heroism and appreciated the LAPD’s efforts to arrest the suspect.

One of the Accomplices

However, the story doesn’t end there. According to a recent lawsuit filed by Jennifer McBride, one of the individuals involved in the theft of Gaga’s dogs, the reward offer was made “with the intent to defraud and induce members of the public, such as Plaintiff, to rely upon it and to act upon said promise by locating and delivering Lady Gaga’s bulldogs to Defendants.”

In April 2021, McBride was taken into custody and accused of receiving stolen property as well as one count of being an accessory after the fact. She entered a no contest plea in December, and a two-year probationary period was imposed.

James Howard Jackson, the man who shot Fischer, pleaded no contest to one count of attempted murder and was sentenced to 21 years in prison the same month. Harold White, another accomplice, pleaded no contest to one count of ex-convict in possession of a gun and is set to be sentenced sometime this year.

The lawsuit filed by McBride is seeking unspecified damages for emotional distress and lost wages, alleging that she was not able to collect the reward money because the police had already arrested the suspects by the time she came into possession of the dogs.

It remains to be seen how the case will unfold, but it raises important questions about the use of reward money in criminal cases.

Reward offers can be a powerful tool in solving crimes and bringing perpetrators to justice. They can incentivize members of the public to come forward with information and lead to the recovery of stolen property or missing persons. However, as this case demonstrates, they can also be a source of controversy and potential fraud.

Dognapping Incident

In 2021, the incident happened.

“My beloved dogs Koji and Gustav were taken in Hollywood two nights ago. My heart is sick and I am praying my family will be whole again with an act of kindness,” she wrote on Instagram, alongside photos of the dogs.

The news of the theft spread quickly, and Gaga’s fans and the public rallied to help find the missing dogs. The LAPD also launched an investigation into the theft, and a $500,000 reward was offered for the safe return of the dogs, no questions asked.

Days went by with no news of the dogs, and Gaga made an emotional plea on social media, begging for their safe return. “If you bought or found them unknowingly, the reward is the same. I will pay you $500,000. You can email me to let me know,” she said in a video message.

Then, on February 26, five days after the theft, the LAPD announced that Koji and Gustav had been found and safely returned to Gaga’s representatives. A woman had turned the dogs into a police station after recognizing them from the media coverage of the theft.

The LAPD later confirmed that the woman had no involvement in the theft and was not eligible for the reward money.

In a statement, Lady Gaga expressed her gratitude to the LAPD and the woman who had returned her dogs. “I continue to love you Ryan Fischer, you risked your life to fight for our family. You’re forever a hero,” she wrote on Instagram. “And to our beloved Koji and Gustav, I miss you both so much. I will always love you.”

Lessons Learned from the ‘La La Land’ Mishap: Kerry Condon BAFTA Error

Anything can go wrong at a huge awards show. From wardrobe malfunctions to teleprompter malfunctions, there are countless things that can potentially throw a wrench in a carefully planned procedure.

But perhaps the most memorable and chilling example of an awards show mishap occurred when La La Land was accidentally awarded Best Picture at the 2017 Academy Awards, and after a while and awarded to the actual winner.

Time travel to the BAFTA Film Awards in 2023, where a smaller-scale version of the same mix-up took place. Both Kerry Condon and Carey Mulligan received nominations for their roles in She Said and The Banshees of Inisherin, respectively, in the category of Supporting Actress.

When the tension in the room reached its peak, last year’s Best Supporting Actor winner Troy Cosser was tasked with announcing the winner.

After a dramatic pause, Kottle announced Kelly Condon as the winner, to cheers and applause from the crowd.

Confusingly, the announcement that Carey Mulligan had won came from the sign language interpreter who was speaking for the audience. The interpreter’s misinterpretation of the winner’s name made the error quickly apparent.

Correcting What Was Wrong

Tensions in the room reached an all-time high as the show’s producers desperately tried to right the wrong.

While the mistake may not have been as high-profile as the La La Land fiasco of years past, it served as a stark reminder of just how easy it is for things to go awry at an awards show, no matter how much planning and preparation has gone into the event.

Of course, in the magnificent scheme of things, the mix-up was a relatively minor one. Both Condon and Mulligan gave outstanding performances in their respective roles, and both actresses were surely honored to be nominated in the first place.

Nevertheless, the moment serves as a reminder that, no matter how glamorous the event, at the end of the day, it’s the people involved who truly matter. Whether it’s the nominees, the presenters, or the audience members, it’s the passion and dedication of these individuals that truly make the awards show experience memorable.

Condon emerged victorious in the Supporting Actress category at the BAFTA awards, triumphing over other notable nominees such as Angela Bassett for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Jamie Lee Curtis for Everything, Everywhere All at Once, and Hong Chau for The Whale. This is a significant achievement for Condon, who is also in the roster for an Oscar this year for her performance in Banshees.

However, her journey towards winning the prestigious award is not over yet. She will once again go head-to-head with the same set of nominees, as well as Stephanie Hsu from Everything, Everywhere All at Once, at the 95th Academy Awards, which is set to commence next month.
