The Prince of Darkness Hangs Up His Microphone: Ozzy Osbourne Retires from Touring

One of the most well-known heavy metal figures, Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne, has announced his retirement from touring.

This news shocked many fans who had been waiting for the No More Tours II tour, which was scheduled to begin in May of this year.

The legendary frontman has faced a number of health issues in recent years, including a spinal cord injury that flared up again in 2019.

The injury has had a negative impact on his physical health and made it harder for him to perform at the level for which he is known, despite his best efforts to make a full recovery.

In a statement posted on social media, Osbourne wrote, “This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans. As you all may know, four years ago, this month, I had a major accident, where I damaged my spine.”

He continued to express his disappointment with the decision, but stressed that it was for his health and well-being.

Fans around the world have expressed their support for Osbourne, who has been a staple in the music industry for over 50 years.

The rock legend has pledged to continue making music despite the news of his retirement from touring and that his legacy will endure thanks to his extensive discography.

What Life Brought Him

In 2003, he was in a serious ATV accident, sustaining multiple fractures, including a broken cervical spine. Although he recovered, his condition worsened after a severe fall in 2019 further damaged his cervical spine.

But Osbourne remains determined to perform for his fans. He has been through three surgeries, stem cell treatments, physical therapy, and lately, groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment. Despite all of these efforts, Osbourne’s body remains physically weak.

In a recent statement, Osbourne acknowledged that his one and only purpose is to perform on stage for his fans, and he is confident that his singing voice is still strong.

However, the physical demands of traveling for his upcoming European and UK tour dates have proven too much for his weakened body to handle.

“However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak,” he said. “I have now come to the realization that I’m not physically capable of doing my upcoming European/UK tour dates, as I know I couldn’t deal with the travel required.”

Osbourne realized that he is not physically capable of performing the tour, and has had to cancel the dates to focus on his health. He hopes that with continued treatment and rehabilitation, he will be able to come back to the stage in the future.

“Believe me when I say that the thought of disappointing my fans really F—- ME UP, more than you will ever know,” he added.

“Never would I have imagined that my touring days would have ended this way. My team is currently coming up with ideas for where I will be able to perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country.”

Osbourne Remains Grateful

Despite the challenges he has faced in recent years, Ozzy Osbourne remains grateful for the support of his fans, family, band, and fellow metal legends Judas Priest. In his recent statement, he thanked them for their “endless dedication, loyalty, and support.”

No More Tours II, Osbourne’s farewell tour, was initially announced in 2017 but has been postponed multiple times due to his health and the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, his passion for music remains undiminished. He continues to make music and his latest album, Patient Number 9, was revealed in September and has received a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album.

The “Crazy Train” singer may not be performing live for the time being, but his music continues to rock the world. He closed his statement by expressing his love for his fans, saying “I love you all.”

Fans can be assured that the Prince of Darkness will return to the stage when the time is right, and in the meantime, they can enjoy his music and continue to show their support for one of heavy metal’s biggest legends.

The Power of Music: Andrew Neil’s Overcoming Adversity through Creativity

Andrew Neil is a unique outsider music artist who has been creating music since 2009 after a head injury from a car crash. Despite never learning to play a cover song, he has written over 400 original songs and released six albums, with plans for two more in 2023. His journey is a testament to the power of music as a healing tool.

Andrew grew up as a recruited high school athlete in Colorado, went to the US Military Academy Prep School, and entered the US Military Academy at West Point with the class of 2012. However, he resigned in December of his plebe year.  Shortly thereafter, Neil was involved in a car accident and suffered a traumatic head injury. He also began struggling with serious mental health issues, including bipolar disorder and PTSD. He turned to songwriting as a way to express himself and channel his emotions. Furthermore, he taught himself to play the keyboard and guitar by writing songs, creating his own unique sound.

From late 2009 until the Summer of 2013, Andrew Neil became a recluse and had several short stays in and out of psychiatric hospitals. He spent this time writing poetry, songs and painting surreal images on anything he could find.

In 2013, Neil  had a very bad psychotic episode and was incarcerated for seven months before being found Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI).  He was committed to a state psychiatric hospital for over three years between 2014 and 2017. While hospitalized, he wrote and recorded scores of songs. Upon his conditional release in May 2017, he selected 11 of these songs just as he had recorded them in his room and released  his album “Code Purple,” which earned him recognition on the Rankers List of Best Outsider Music Artists.

In 2018, he met music producer Andy Waldeck, founder of the bands “Earth to Andy” and “Killer Deluxe”, and went on to release four  studio albums: “Merry Go Round (2018)”, “Freak” (2019)  “Sunny Side” (2021)”, and “Alien”(2022). In 2019, while recording his “Freak” album, Neil was diagnosed with a very aggressive Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He continued to make music, finishing recording the album despite intensive chemotherapy treatments.

Andrew places significant importance on not only the music but also the cover art for his albums. He feels that visual representation is just as crucial as musical content when producing an album. His brother, Kyle Scott Maternick, is an abstract artist and was responsible for the cover art for two of Andrew’s works, “Code Purple” and “Freak.” Kyle’s understanding of his brother’s struggles with mental health is evident as he was able to move forward and work on these projects despite the psychotic episode in 2013.

In addition to Kyle, another talented artist who has contributed to Andrew’s album covers is Daniel Benayun. He created the stunning visuals on “Merry Go Round,” “Sunny Side,” and “Alien.” Andrew’s albums are available on both CD and in a limited run on vinyl. Each album has a limited number of vinyl pressings, with “Code Purple” being pressed 300 times, “Merry Go Round” also being pressed 300 times, “Freak” pressed 300 times, “Sunny Side” pressed 100 times, and “Alien” pressed 200 times. This adds to the uniqueness and collectability of each of Andrew’s albums.

Andrew Neil’s story is a testament to the power of music and the human spirit. Despite facing numerous challenges, he has persevered and created a body of work that is both beautiful and authentic. Whether you’re a fan of blues, grunge, math rock, or shoegaze, there is something for everyone in Andrew Neil’s music. He may be a reclusive artist, but his music speaks volumes and will continue to inspire and touch the lives of many.

A Deeper Look into Taylor Swift’s “Lavender Haze” Music Video and Its Possible Meaning

The most recent music video for the song “Lavender Haze” from Taylor Swift’s most recent album Midnights was made public.

Written and directed by Swift herself, the video features a dreamy aesthetic with a soft, psychedelic feel. The image shows Swift wandering around her house with flowers sprouting from the carpet and her house floating in space.

One of the highlights of the video is the presence of transgender actor and activist Lais Ashley De La Cruz, who stars as Swift’s lover. This casting choice is a powerful statement as Swift continues to use her platform to speak out for marginalized communities.

With its dreamy atmosphere and ethereal visuals, the music video for “Lavender Haze” is a visual feast. The song’s mellow, reflective nature makes it a perfect match for the video’s artistic aesthetic.

“The Lavender Haze video is out now. There is lots of lavender. There is lots of haze,” Swift posted on Twitter after the visual was released.

“There is my incredible costar @laith_ashley who I absolutely adored working with. This was the first video I wrote out of the 3 that have been released, and this one really helped me conceptualize the world and mood of Midnights, like a sultry sleepless 70’s fever dream. Hope you like it,” she added.

Latest Release

Known for her success in the music industry, Taylor Swift recently released two music videos from her tenth studio album, Midnights. The songs “Anti-Hero” and “Bejeweled” were both directed by Swift herself.

However, she faced some controversy in her “Antihero” music video when she removed a shot of her stepping on a scale that said “FAT.” The move was seen as a response to the backlash she received for her original recordings.

Swift’s latest music video, “Lavender Haze,” has sparked speculation that another video may be on the way. The video starts with a shot of a record sleeve with the title “Mastermind” which is another track from Midnights.

Swift announced her extensive Eras Tour in support of the Midnights album in November.

However, the Ticketmaster website collapsed during the Verified Fan pre-sales due to overwhelming demand for tickets, which led to the cancellation of the public on-sale date for tour tickets.

This has resulted in multiple lawsuits against Ticketmaster and its parent company, Live Nation Entertainment, from fans who felt that the companies manipulated the sales unfairly.

Ticket Dilemma

The recent controversies surrounding Ticketmaster and Live Nation Entertainment have prompted a U.S. Senate Judiciary Subcommittee to hold a hearing to investigate the operations of the companies.

The hearing was led by Senator Amy Klobuchar and other members of Congress who quoted lyrics from Taylor Swift’s songs throughout the proceedings.

The incident caught the attention of lawmakers and the Justice Department, which has now opened an investigation into Live Nation Entertainment. The investigation reportedly began before the Eras ticketing problem, but the recent controversies have brought more attention to the issue.

The hearing and the investigation aim to uncover any potential antitrust issues and anti-competitive practices within the ticketing industry. It also raised questions about the power of the ticketing giant and its relationship with the music industry.

The outcome of this investigation could have significant ramifications for the way concert tickets are sold in the future.

Lavender Haze

Swift’s latest music video for the song “Lavender Haze” has fans speculating about the hidden meaning behind the visuals and lyrics.

The video is a dreamy and ethereal visual journey that showcases Swift in a variety of different settings and outfits. The music video opens with a shot of a record sleeve with the title “Mastermind” which is another track from Midnights album.

Many fans believe that the song is about the struggles of fame and the pressure of constantly being in the public eye.

The lyrics, “Lavender haze, it’s all a blur, it’s all a blur, I’m feeling like I’m losing my mind” could be interpreted as a commentary on the stress and confusion that comes with being a celebrity.

The video also features Swift walking through a forest and a desolate city, which could be a metaphor for the isolation and loneliness that often comes with fame. The lavender color in the video is also significant, as it is often associated with tranquility, relaxation, and emotional healing.

Others believe that the song is about a failed relationship, with the lyrics “Lavender haze, it’s all a blur, it’s all a blur, you’re not here with me” possibly referencing the pain and confusion of a breakup.

The video also includes shots of Swift sitting alone in a room with a broken mirror, which could be symbolic of the shattered pieces of a broken relationship.

Regardless of the specific meaning behind the song, “Lavender Haze” is a powerful and emotional track that showcases Swift’s ability to create thought-provoking and relatable music.

The video leaves it open for interpretation and interpretation of the fans, leaving them to ponder and discuss the possible meaning of the song.

Dynamic Pricing: A Solution to High Concert Ticketing Prices and Scalping

After the controversy surrounding Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour sales malfunction last year, people have been clamoring for a better ticketing system.

The proposed solution is to use blockchain technology to create a fair and transparent ticketing system.

By using a decentralized platform, ticket sales can be recorded and tracked in real time, making it much more difficult for scalpers to buy tickets in bulk and resell them at exorbitant prices.

By eliminating middlemen and lowering the possibility of fraud, blockchain technology would also enable fans to buy tickets directly from artists or venues.

Another possible solution is to implement dynamic pricing. This allows ticket prices to fluctuate based on demand, rather than being locked into a fixed price.

This makes it easier for fans to buy tickets at fair prices and also discourages retailers from buying tickets in bulk.

Using paperless tickets is another option. By doing so, the demand for actual tickets would disappear and the likelihood of fraud would decline.

Instead, fans used their IDs and codes sent to their mobile phones to access concerts. This way the tickets cannot be resold, making it more difficult for scalpers to buy and resell large numbers of tickets.

Yet another solution is to use a lottery system. This will allow fans to participate in a raffle to purchase a limited number of tickets. This saves fans from waiting in online queues for hours and reduces the chances of scalpers buying tickets in bulk.

Reduced Prices

Caity Baser’s decision to reduce the cost of tickets for her upcoming UK tour is a breath of fresh air in a sector where costs have skyrocketed recently. Many music fans are being priced out of the market as a result of the rising prices of concert tickets, which has become a major problem.

Many artists and venues have cited the need to combat the impact of streaming on their incomes as a reason for the rising prices.

However, it’s important to remember that the cost of living crisis is affecting people all over the country, and it’s great to see an artist like Caity Baser taking a stand and making her concerts more affordable for her fans.

It’s also worth noting that this is not the first time an artist has taken this approach. Some of the biggest names in music have also lowered their ticket prices to make their concerts more accessible to fans. For example, Ed Sheeran’s UK tour tickets in 2019 were priced between £37 and £88, which is significantly lower than many of his contemporaries.

No More Queues

YellowHeart and Dice are just two examples of companies looking to revolutionize the way concert tickets are sold. By using more advanced technology, they aim to make the process faster, more efficient and less frustrating for customers.

One of the main issues with traditional ticketing systems is their inability to handle large volumes of traffic, leading to long wait times and often crashing websites. With the rise of digital ticketing and mobile devices, the demand for concert tickets has only increased, making this problem even more pressing.

Another issue is the use of bots and scalpers who are able to purchase large quantities of tickets in a short period of time, leaving little for actual fans to buy.

Many companies are now implementing measures to combat this, such as using Captcha verification and limiting the number of tickets that can be purchased per person.

Honest Ticketing Price and Availability

The issue of ticket scalping, or the reselling of concert tickets at inflated prices, is also a major problem for fans. The use of bots to quickly purchase large numbers of tickets and resell them at a profit has made it difficult for fans to get their hands on tickets at face value.

To combat this, some countries have implemented stricter laws and regulations on ticket reselling, such as capping resell prices or requiring sellers to disclose their identity.

However, some experts argue that the solution lies in the use of technology. Blockchain, for example, can be used to create a transparent and secure ticketing system that makes it harder for scalpers to operate.

Ultimately, it is important for the music industry to find ways to make the ticket buying process fair and accessible for all fans, whether it’s through fairer ticket allocation or the use of innovative technology. Fans should not have to spend hours in virtual queues or overpay for tickets just to see their favorite artists perform live.

No Other Extra Charges

Service fees, handling charges, and delivery fees can add a significant amount to the cost of a concert ticket. These additional charges, which can range from 10% to 27% of the ticket’s original price, can be a surprise to many concert-goers.

One example of this is a fan who purchased six tickets for Taylor Swift’s Eras tour, only to find an additional $475 charge at checkout. This is not uncommon, and many ticket sellers use these fees to make the initial ticket price seem more affordable.

Industry experts believe that these fees are kept separate to insulate artists from criticism, as the public will blame the ticket sellers rather than the performers.

Bob Lefsetz, an analyst, recently stated, “Fees were created to create another pile of money. Ticketmaster has been paid to take the heat over that for forever, so the public will never hate the act.”

Ticket sellers such as Ticketmaster argue that they want to show customers the full price from the outset, but only if everyone else in the industry agrees to do the same.

In a financial statement last year, Ticketmaster stated, “We have seen all-in pricing adopted successfully in many countries. This only works if all ticketing marketplaces adopt together, so that consumers truly can accurately compare as they shop for tickets.”

Madonna Returns to the Stage with “Celebration” Tour: Tickets on Sale Now

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of her breakout single “Holiday,” pop icon Madonna is planning a tour.

The Celebration Tour will see the singer perform music from across her career, including hits from her 1983 self-titled debut album to her 2019 album Madame X.

It will be Madonna’s first-ever Greatest Hits Tour, and will return to arenas and stadiums following her experimental theater-based Madame X shows in 2019 and 2020.

The 35-date tour will begin in the United States and visit a number of cities abroad.

Fans can hear some of Madonna’s most iconic songs like “Like a Virgin,” “Material Girl,” and “Vogue,” as well as Madame X’s new hits. The tour will also include special guests yet to be announced.

Madonna’s return to the stage comes after a difficult time for the singer. Several of her Madame X shows were canceled because she was struggling with her knee and hip injuries.

The Covid-19 pandemic then forced the cancellation of the final 10 dates in Paris. However, Madonna has since recovered and is eager to resume entertaining her fans.

The Celebration Tour is set to be one of the biggest events of the year, and tickets are expected to sell out quickly. Fans of Madonna’s music don’t want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for her pop icon to perform some of her biggest hits live.

Where and When It Will Begin

The tour kicks off in Vancouver, Canada in July and will take place in New York, Barcelona, Paris, Stockholm and Amsterdam, ending on December 1st.

So far, only one date has been announced for the UK, at London’s O2 Arena on October 14th. However, Madonna’s schedule is clear for a week on either side of that date, suggesting more shows will be announced as the initial dates sell out.

“I am excited to explore as many songs as possible, in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for,” Madonna said in a statement.

The press release for the tour also states that it “will take us on Madonna’s artistic journey through four decades and pays respect to the city of New York where her career in music began.”

With 63 top 10 hits in the UK, including 13 number one singles, Madonna will have no shortage of songs to choose from for the setlist. Fans can expect to hear classic hits such as “Into The Groove,” “Like A Prayer,” “Vogue,” and “Hung Up,” among many others.

In the past, Madonna has avoided performing some of her biggest hits on tour, explaining in a 2017 interview with the BBC, “Some songs I’m sick of doing and I don’t want to do them.”

She went on to say, “So if I did Material Girl on the tour before, or Express Yourself on the tour before, then I’ll say, ‘OK, I did that for 88 shows. I can’t do it again.'”

The “Celebration” tour will be Madonna’s first formal greatest hits tour since her 2004 “Reinvention” concerts.

Tickets for the tour go on sale at 10:00 local time on Friday, January 20th, with pre-sales for fan club members starting on Tuesday, January 17th (North America) and Wednesday, January 18th (Europe).

Madonna Continues

Despite this, the Madame X Tour was a financial success, grossing over $410 million and becoming the highest-grossing tour by a female artist ever. This is a testament to Madonna’s enduring popularity and the dedication of her fans.

TikTok Famous

In September of last year, a decade-old leaked demo called “Back That Up To The Beat” also resurfaced on the app, garnering thousands of videos and prompting Madonna to give the demo an official release in December.

Chris Piro Doesn’t Want To Forget

There are a few reasons a person tends to hold on, a beautiful memory, a moment caught in time, an event everlasting. Chris Piro is one of those that holds on to memories which are so furiously imbued to his personality that he chooses to never forget with an overly tightened grip. Piro is an artist (Petty Poser) a musician, a vagabond, and a raconteur who can spark up a conversation with almost anyone. Admittedly, Piro is still searching for something more and today we have the chance to sit down with him.

Entertainment Post: You have a new song coming out soon, a personal project, tell us about it.

Chris Piro: I am very excited about it; it is actually a synth cover of my favorite Radiohead Song Exit Music (For a Film) I was able to connect with the incredibly talented Chloe Edgecombe who has stunning ethereal vocals. I have been working on this project for a few months and it is so rewarding for me to finally be able to complete this.

EP: Why is this song so important to you?

Piro: For me, it was one of the fist songs that I ever heard that really blew me away. It is such a rewarding song, subtle in the beginning and then you are rewarded with this incredible wave at the end. The more patient you are the more rewarding the song is. It is kind of an analogy for life.

EP: Can you elaborate on this concept of how this song connects to your story?

Piro: I have not taken the easy road to get where I am today, I can’t even begin to tell you how much my lack of patience has caused so many issues. To call me impetuous is an understatement.

EP: Have you always been impatient?

Piro: Heck yeah, when I was younger, I was extremely cavalier about having fun and not really giving a damn. I was THAT guy for a bit.

EP: You had a bit of a reputation when you were younger, what is it like carrying that with you?

Piro: I chased most of my youth through an empty bottle, both metaphorical and real. I will never forget who I was, it is engrained in me and thoroughly shaped who I am, why I create, what I am trying to achieve with art and music.

EP: What is your ultimate goal with your music?

Piro: I have chased so many people away in my life because of the poor choices I made. I really want people to see me again through what I create. I was a chef for a long time because it helped me find my voice. Now, I get to use music and art to show the world that I can bring something to the table. To show people that I am enough. To have people hear me without pretense is so liberating.

EP: Some of your songs blend into different genres, are you an artist that wants to be defined and labeled?

Piro: Heck No, nothing sounds worse in life than having someone label you and now that’s what kind of music you’re supposed to make. Creative freedom is the most important part of this process for me.

EP:  What does the next few years look like for Petty Poser and Chris Piro?

Piro: I am still debating if I am going to release an album or release singles, streaming is so competitive and releasing constant content is more important than releasing albums right now. I have a lot of content ready to go, but the first domino to fall is Exit Music.  EP: Any live performances planned?

Piro: I get this question a lot, I might. I think it is something I will consider for 2024. The only issue is that I make music and then find artists to match their vocals to my song. I love featuring different artists and connecting different genres but a live performance might hinge on a vocalist being able to master all ranges.

EP: Do you have a dream vocalist to you would want to work with?

Piro: MACKandgold, I just listened to her song ‘Chasing Down’ and I haven’t turned it off.

From Guadalajara to the World: The Rise of MC Nulty

Passion for music can often be sparked at a young age, leading to a lifelong pursuit of mastering the art form. For many individuals, their love for music develops early on and becomes a driving force in their lives, leading them to pursue it as a career. These early experiences can be the foundation for the trade, often requiring hard work, dedication, and a willingness to take risks. But for those with a true passion for music, the rewards can be immeasurable. With persistence and focus, a person’s passion for music can lead them to achieve their dreams, making a mark on the industry and leaving a lasting impact on audiences worldwide.

Growing up in Guadalajara, Mexico, Michael McNulty, better known as MC Nulty, discovered his love for music at a young age. At just ten years old, he began producing his own demos and performing at local cultural and music events. “I saw that life was a hard thing to do, so I went into the urban road, making music and expressing my feelings this way,” he said. As he grew older, he continued to make a name for himself in the local scene, performing at venues such as Hard Rock Coffee and the concert of 7/07/2007.

Now, with a fanbase spanning across Mexico, the United States, Latin America, and Europe, MC Nulty has cemented himself as a rising force in the music industry. His unique style, which often incorporates both Spanish and English lyrics, has earned him thousands of monthly listeners on music platforms such as Spotify.

But for MC Nulty, fame is not the ultimate goal. Instead, he uses his music as a way to express the good and bad things in life and share positive vibes with his audience. He has even collaborated on a feature with one of his idols, Bizarre of Eminem’s band D12. “Music has saved my life so many times in so many ways that I got that fame is not the most important thing in art. It’s to express the good and bad things of life,” he shared.

MC Nulty has also established himself as a brand, with merchandise, shows, and other special products available for his fans. His latest single, “Wanna Make You Dance,” exemplifies his mission to create music that brings people together and encourages them to enjoy life.
