From Divine Commission to Transformative Ministry
Powell’s ministry began in 2001 when she felt a divine nudge to write her first book, Marriage 101. Years later, in 2019, she was inspired to pen An Open Invitation: A Bride Making Herself Ready, a deep exploration of the biblical metaphor of the Bride of Christ. This journey culminated in her establishing Kingdom Reign Ministries Inc., a nonprofit media company dedicated to producing faith-based films and television shows to further God’s Kingdom.
In 2023, Powell made her filmmaking debut with Unfailing Love, a modern-day adaptation of the book of Hosea. The film, which explores themes of love, redemption, and God’s relentless pursuit of His people, has received critical acclaim, earning over 15 awards, including the Audience Choice Award at the International Christian Film Festival.
The Brides Arise Movement
At the heart of Powell’s work is the Brides Arise movement, a call for believers to actively prepare themselves for Christ’s return. “The Bride makes herself ready,” Powell emphasizes, referencing Revelation 19:7-8. Through books, films, and online communities, Powell equips men and women to walk in faith, overcome challenges, and live purposefully.
Her book, An Open Invitation, delves into the symbolism of the Jewish wedding to reveal the profound mysteries of Christ and the Church. “Just as a bride prepares for her wedding day, we, as believers, are called to prepare for the ultimate union with Christ,” Powell explains. The revised edition of the book is now available on Amazon and at Kingdom Reign Ministries.
Transformative Storytelling: Meeting People Where They Are
What sets Powell apart in the faith-based media landscape is her commitment to “transformative storytelling.” Her work portrays life’s raw realities while pointing to God’s redemptive power. This approach resonates with audiences seeking authentic narratives that reflect their struggles and victories.

She dreams of hosting Brides Arise conferences and retreats, producing more transformative films, and creating digital resources to empower believers. “I want to challenge the status quo of faith-based media and offer narratives that resonate with audiences while rebuilding their faith in Christian films,” she shares.
