Jude Thomas is a well-known figure in the basketball community, having dedicated himself to promoting women’s basketball and showcasing the incredible talents of female players on and off the court. The movie tells the inspiring story of Nathaniel “Sweetwater” Clifton, the first African American player to sign a contract with the NBA in the fall of 1950.

Jude Thomas plays the character of Marques Haynes, the world’s most excellent dribbler from the Harlem Globetrotters. His role in the movie is supporting, but he manages to leave a lasting impression on the audience with his stellar performance.

The all-star cast for “Sweetwater” includes Everett Osborne, Cary Elwes, Jeremy Piven, Richard Dreyfuss, Kevin Pollack, and Eric Roberts. With such a talented group of actors, the movie promises to be an emotional roller coaster ride, taking viewers through the highs and lows of being a black man in sports during intense racial segregation.

“Sweetwater” is set to release in theaters nationwide on April 14th, 2023. This powerful, emotional movie will surely blow away basketball fans and inspire true stories. Jude Thomas’s involvement in the film is just one example of his incredible journey as an entrepreneur, streetball player, and actor. He continues to break down barriers and inspire others to do the same, proving that anything is possible with determination and hard work.
