Kanye West and Julia Fox called it quits after only about a month of dating. A statement from the actress’ representative confirmed their split on Monday, February 14.
“Julia and Kanye remain good friends and collaborators, but they are no longer together,” the rep wrote in the statement.
Prior to the announcement from Fox’s rep, Ye had posted on Instagram hinting that he still has feelings for his distanced wife, Kim Kardashian. The rapper claimed to be “crazy about my family.”
West and Fox initially sparked dating speculations after appearing at a party together during New Year’s Eve. The 32-year-old model wrote an essay for a magazine, revealing insights on how she happened to fall head over heels with him mere weeks ago.
“It was an instant connection,” read Fox’s essay. “His energy is so fun to be around. He had me and my friends laughing, dancing, and smiling all night.”
She added, “We decided to keep energy going and fly back to New York City to see “Slave Play”… Ye’s flight landed at six and the play was at seven and he was there ON TIME. I was impressed. After the play we chose to do dinner at Carbone which is one of my favorite restaurants. Obviously.”
The news of the breakup broke only two weeks after the attendance of the rapper on Fox’s birthday celebration in New York City with her close friends on February 3. After a day, West began to fight with Kardashian over their daughter North appearing on a TikTok video without his consent.
Kardashian took to Instagram her opinion on the matter: “From the beginning I have wanted nothing but a healthy relationship and supportive co-parenting relationship because it is what is best for our children and it saddens me that Kanye continues to make it impossible every step of the way,” she said in that statement, further stating that she wants to “resolve any issues amicably.”
Ye has been publicly showing his intention on fixing their family while also throwing shade at the current boyfriend of Kardashian, Pete Davidson.
