Just days after the glitziest red carpet of the year, the 2023 Oscars, the premiere of Shazam! Fury of the Gods earned the title of slushiest red carpet of the year. Despite a torrential downpour, Hollywood’s biggest stars braved the weather to attend the much-anticipated premiere of the sequel.
Los Angeles was in a drought trend, but another storm that hit California brought rain Tuesday night. But like the Post, bad weather hasn’t let Hollywood down.In spite of the risk of staining the hems of their dresses, celebrities are in full force and ready to celebrate the latest superhero movie.
The sequel to the superhero movie from 2019 continues the adventures of the young protagonist Billy Batson, played by Asher Angel, and his foster brothers and sisters, who become stunning adult heroes by saying the enchanted term “Shazam!” The film stars Meagan Good, Adam Brody, and other actors in addition to Zachary Levi as the title character.
The film’s stars arrived at the premiere in good spirits despite the pouring rain. Zachary Levi in particular looked stunning in a tailored suit and coat, while Megan Good opted for a bold, bright dress that stood out against the gray and subdued background of the evening.
The cast and crew of Shazam despite the weather! Fury of the Gods were in high spirits and excited to share their film with the world. Zachary Levi, who plays the film’s titular hero, spoke about the challenges of filming in the rain, saying, “It’s not easy, but we’re here, we’re excited, and we’re ready to show everyone what we’ve been working on.”
Celebrate the Film
The film’s director, David F. Sandberg, echoed Levi’s sentiments, saying, “Rain or shine, we’re here to celebrate this film and the hard work that went into making it. We’re thrilled to finally share it with audiences.”
As the night went on, the rain only seemed to intensify. But, despite the wet and muddy conditions, the stars of Shazam! Fury of the Gods continued to smile and pose for the cameras, proving that nothing can rain on Hollywood’s parade.
When it comes to movie premieres, the red carpet is usually the main attraction. Fans eagerly await the arrival of their favorite stars, admiring their outfits and hoping for a glimpse of their favorite actors. However, at the premiere of the upcoming DC movie “Fury of the Gods,” the red carpet was not the only thing in the spotlight. Instead, it was the rain that stole the show.
In a video from the premiere, Ross Butler, who portrays the superhero version of Eugene, can be seen carefully making his way down the red carpet, gingerly stepping over puddles and regretting his choice of outfit.
Wearing white and no socks, Butler was clearly not prepared for the wet weather. Meanwhile, Marta Milans, who plays Billy’s foster mom Rosa Vasquez, was lucky enough to have a dress that matched the carpet, but its hem was still going to need some serious dry cleaning.
Rachel Zegler, who acts as one of the Daughters of Atlas, the movie’s antagonists, was also feeling the effects of the rain. Worried that her dress and its long train would get ruined, she lamented, “I don’t know what to do.” It’s understandable that Zegler would be concerned, as she no doubt spent hours getting ready for the premiere.

Just a Little Rain
Despite the challenges posed by the rain, some of the stars managed to make the best of the situation. Jack Dylan Grazer, who portrays Billy’s foster brother Freddy Freeman, and Peter Facinelli were seen kicking and splashing in the water like regular Gene Kellys. It’s clear that these actors didn’t let a little rain dampen their spirits.
In the end, the rain at the “Fury of the Gods” premiere served as a reminder that even the biggest movie stars are not immune to the whims of the weather.
But it also showed that, with a little flexibility and a good attitude, it’s possible to make the best of a bad situation. So the next time it rains on your parade, remember the stars of “Fury of the Gods” and try to find the silver lining in the storm clouds.
Fans of the 2019 DC superhero movie “Shazam!” can rejoice, as a sequel is in the works. “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” is set to hit theaters on June 2, 2023, and fans are eagerly anticipating what’s in store for their favorite characters.
The first “Shazam!” movie introduced audiences to Billy Batson, a teenage orphan who gains the ability to transform into an adult superhero by saying the word “Shazam!” The movie was praised for its lighthearted tone and sense of humor, which set it apart from other DC movies.
It also introduced a colorful cast of characters, including Billy’s foster siblings and the villainous Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods
“Shazam! Fury of the Gods” promises to continue the story of Billy Batson and his superhero alter ego, played by Asher Angel and Zachary Levi respectively. The sequel will see the return of the entire foster family, including Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman, Grace Fulton as Mary Bromfield, and Faithe Herman as Darla Dudley.
Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu have been added to the cast as the movie’s villains, Hespera and Kalypso, respectively.
One of the most thrilling aspects of the sequel is the promise of more action and spectacle. Director David F. Sandberg has teased that the movie will have a larger scale and more intense action scenes, while still maintaining the humor and heart of the first movie.
Sandberg has also promised to explore the mythology of the Shazam character, which should provide plenty of material for fans to geek out over.
