Picture this: a charming coastal town and an evening that’s all about words, wonder, and whimsy. Welcome to Provincetown, a coastal canvas that is about to become the stage for a night of poetic wonder and literary tales as Stelios Mormoris and Christy Cashman step into the spotlight to unveil their literary treasures.
Stelios Mormoris: Unveiling “The Oculus”
Stelios Mormoris, a man of many talents, is excited to be in conversation about his debut poetry collection, “The Oculus.” His words invite you to peer through his poetic lens and embark on a journey through rich vistas in his world of verses where everyday humble objects waltz with the extraordinary.
Born in New York and living most of his life in the vibrant city of Paris, Stelios Mormoris spent much of his life working as an executive in the beauty industry. Now, as the Chief Executive Officer of Scent Beauty, Inc., he brings the same creative energy to perfumes and fragrances as he does to his poetry. But Stelios is far from a one-dimensional artist. He studied architecture at Princeton University and later earned his MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
Beyond the boardrooms and scent labs, Stelios has generously lent his time and expertise to several organizations, serving on the boards of the French Cultural Center of Boston, ACT-UP, Historic New England, and The Fragrance Foundation. As if that weren’t enough to fill his plate, he’s also a contemporary artist renowned for his abstract oil paintings.
Stelios’s interests span far and wide, from the adrenaline of rugby to the serenity of sailing and gardening. Yet, at the core of it all, his passion for reading and writing poetry remains unwavering.
Christy Cashman: Galloping through “The Truth About Horses”
But the night doesn’t stop with Stelios Mormoris. Sharing the stage is another talented scribe, Christy Cashman, riding in on the pages of her newly published novel, “The Truth About Horses.” In this enchanting work, Cashman takes readers on a ride through the world of these magnificent creatures, exploring the profound connection between humans and horses.
Jane Seymour: Steering the Storytelling Ship
Guiding the evening’s literary ship with grace and charisma, who better to captain this escapade than the dazzling Actress Jane Seymour? Her voice and presence add a sprinkle of stardust, making for an unforgettable evening.
