Second Chances: Bill Hader and Ali Wong’s Rekindled Romance

Bill Hader and Ali Wong are two of the most successful comedians in Hollywood. Both have starred in multiple hit movies and television shows and have legions of fans. However, many people don’t know that the two comedians have a romantic history. In 2019, the couple announced that they were in a relationship, but by mid-2020, the two had broken up. However, in recent months, the couple has been spotted together again, leading many to believe they are giving their romance another shot. In this article, we will discuss why Bill Hader and Ali Wong decided to give their romance another shot.

Taking it Slow and Enjoying the Connection

During an interview earlier this month, the 44-year-old former Saturday Night Live cast member briefly mentioned having a “girlfriend” but did not reveal her identity. However, it was later confirmed by Us that the Barry star had rekindled his romance with the 41-year-old stand-up comedian, whom he had briefly dated in late 2022. The couple was recently spotted sharing a kiss during a hike on Wong’s birthday, but according to an insider, they plan to take things slow.

The source said, “It’s an official romance, but they’re not discussing moving together. The insider added that the Big Mouth voice actress and Emmy winner only decided to pursue a romance after ending their previous relationships.

“Ali and Bill have known each other from their respective comedy worlds for a while,” the source explained. “They were friends first, nothing serious, but once she was single, the idea of dating became possible. They were both at a good place and decided to give it another shot.”

Previous Relationships Before Rekindling Romance

Rewritten text: Before his renewed relationship with Wong, Bill Hader married Maggie Carey, with whom he has three daughters: Hannah, 13, Harper, 10, and Hayley, 8. The Skeleton Twins star and the To-Do List director, who had been married for 11 years, ended their marriage in 2017. The Superbad actor had since been in relationships with Rachel Bilson and Anna Kendrick. Meanwhile, Ali Wong announced her separation from her husband, Justin Hakuta, in April 2022. The Always Be My Maybe actress and the entrepreneur, who share two daughters, Mari, 7, and Nikki, 5, ended their marriage before Wong’s renewed relationship with Hader.

On-and-Off Relationship Timeline

In the fall of 2022, Bill Hader and Ali Wong began seeing each other romantically, but their relationship ended after a few months in December. However, in April 2023, the couple reignited their romance. During Barry’s fourth season premiere in Los Angeles, Hader referred to his girlfriend, saying, “My girlfriend and I were talking, and she brought it up that I haven’t had a vacation in 10 years, so I think I need to go.” Hader recently revealed that he visited San Francisco, Wong’s birthplace, but he didn’t mention Wong by name. Despite this, he clarified that the visit “doesn’t count” as a vacation.
