The World Entertainment Awards, an international gala hosted annually in Hollywood during the Grammy week, celebrates excellence in world entertainment. Swedish music artist, songwriter, and producer Simon Andersson is happy to announce he has been nominated for “Best Rock Song” and “Best Newcomer” in the Rock genre for his powerful recent song, “Try.”

Simon’s artistic journey began at a young age, debuting on a TV program before even being a teenager and earning his first musical prize at 13. After graduating high school in Malmö, he pursued his passion at the Malmö Academy of Music. He won a spot in its highly regarded music program, laying the foundation for his lifelong professional career.

Simon Andersson’s “Try” is a musical masterpiece that embraces the essence of resilience, encouraging listeners to pursue their dreams fearlessly. With electric guitar, synth, and dynamic drums, the song radiates a vibrant energy.

From the first note, “Try” is an uplifting tune that serves as a beacon of hope, reminding us that anything is possible if we dare to try. Simon Andersson’s vocals exude genuine emotion that guides us through a journey of self-belief. In the hook, Simon croons, “All you got to do is try. It’s a long way out, but we can just enjoy the ride. Don’t be disheartened, all you got to do is try.” These lyrics serve as a battle cry. It urges us to embrace our challenges with optimism.

In 2013, Simon broke out of the local Swedish music scene, receiving a “Best Song of the Year” nomination at the Hollywood Music Media Awards. His subsequent win at the prestigious Fonda Theatre led to live performances on American TV and chart-topping success with “How Did I Get Her” and “City Nights.” Simon’s band also graced the stage at the CMA Festival in Nashville for two consecutive years, winning praise in one of American music history’s most important cities.

Simon Andersson’s musical influences span from the early days of American Rock to today’s music scene in its vibrant diversity, showcasing his skill as a songwriter and producer. On February 2, the grandeur of the World Entertainment Award ceremony in Hollywood will witness Simon’s live performance of “Try” to huge anticipation.

Simon is currently captivating audiences with sold-out Christmas shows alongside Måns Möller and Linda Varg at Luftkastellet, Sweden. Additionally, he takes pride in founding and producing the successful South Ocean Festival (2nd year) in Sibbarp, Malmö. This summer’s lineup features artists such as The Cardigans (SE), The Midnight (US), and DeWolff (NL), to name a few.
